Campaspe River Rest Area

Located 90km south west of Charters Towers and 15km north east of Pentland on the Flinders Highway, Campaspe River Rest Area is a free overnight campsite just off the highway beside the river.It is quite a large flat area with plenty of room and there are a lot of large shady trees.There can be some noise at times due to the closeness of the road and the train line that runs behind the campsite, otherwise it is a great place for an overnight stay.This rest stop has an amenities facility but does not provide for disabled access. Dogs on leash are allowed.
