About this site
John Reid Hut is a standard 6-bunk hut located at 1240m elevation on the eastern side of the Arthur Range, within Kahurangi National Park. It offers impressive views across the Wangapeka Valley to Mt Owen. Access is easiest via Chummies Track from the Wangapeka. It is named after local helicopter pilot John Reid.
