Hope Halfway Hut is a basic, free, six-bunk hut located in Lake Sumner Forest Park within the Canterbury region of New Zealand. Situated on the Hope Kiwi Track, which is part of the Te Araroa Trail, it operates on a first-come, first-served basis without requiring bookings. Access is via tracks to the hut, with a journey of 18 hours and 30 minutes from the Hurunui swing bridge, rated as advanced difficulty. Dogs are not allowed.
