Sayer Hut is a standard six-bunk hut located in the Tararua Forest Park in the Wairarapa region. It is accessible from Mangatarere Valley Road (3-4 hr, expert route) or by crossing the Waiohine River, which is unbridged and potentially dangerous. Bookings are not required, operating on a first-come, first-served basis.
