Chancellor Hut is the oldest alpine hut still on its original site, playing an important role in the development of mountaineering and tramping in Westland National Park. It has a Category 2 Historic Places Trust registration and is located on the Southwest face of Chancellor Ridge, offering views of the country’s highest peaks.
