About this site
Sunrise Hut is a serviced 20-bunk hut located in the mid-eastern Ruahine Forest Park, on the tops of the Ruahine Range. It is the most popular hut in the park, offering magnificent views across Hawke's Bay. It was constructed in 1983 by NZFS and upgraded in 2005. The hut is heated by a woodburner and is a popular destination for day trips or weekend visits.
