McCoy Hut is a standard six-bunk hut located in the Rangitata and Rakaia Rivers area of the Canterbury region. It charges $15 per night for adults and $7.50 for youth, with children under 5 free. Bookings are not required, operating on a first-come, first-served basis. Access is via formed 4WD through Erewhon Station, but currently not permitted. There is no DOC track access.
